Herbert Gray, son of Terrence Gray and Nancy J. (Smith) Gray, was born on 19 July 1861 in New York.[1] He was a laborer when he appeared on the census of 29 July 1870 in the home of his parents at Wilton, Saratoga, New York.[2]
He married Dora Tripp[1] about 1882.
He and Dora appeared on the census of 16 Feb. 1892 at Chester, Warren County, New York. His mother was living with them.[3]
He was a laborer in a lumber mill when he and Dora appeared on the census of 18 June 1900 at Milton, Saratoga, New York. Their daughter Maude was listed next to them and his mother with his sister are listed on the same page.[4]
Herbert died on 19 Aug. 1913 and was buried at Pottersville New Cemetery, Pottersville, Warren County, New York. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[1]
