It is presumed he was the Charles Gray who married Mary Elizabeth Biggs in Q3 1886 in the District of Gloucester.[2] Charles Gray age 27, bachelor, Labourer of 6 Sinope Street, Gloucester, and Mary Elizabeth Biggs age 20, spinster of 6 Sinope Street, Gloucester, were married by Banns on 01 Aug 1886 at All Saints Gloucester. Their fathers were John Gray, Labourer, and George Biggs, GWR Engine Driver.[3]
1861: William C Gray was resident at Purton, Wiltshire, age 1, with parents John and Elizabeth. Place of birth was noted as Purton, Wiltshire.[10]
1871: Charles Gray was resident at Tetbury, Gloucestershire, age 11, with parents John and Elizabeth. Place of birth was noted as Purton, Wiltshire.[11]
1891: Charles Gray resident at Sinope Street, Gloucester, age 35, Telegraph Clerk, born Gloucestershire, married to Mary E Gray.[12]
1901: Charles Gray resident at Conduit Street, South Hamlet, Gloucester, age 42, Railway Wireman, born Purton, Wiltshire, married to Elizabeth.[13]
1911: William Charles Gray resident at Gloucester, age 51, General Labourer, born Purton, Wiltshire, married to Mary Elizabeth Gray.[14]
