Biography
Margaret was born about 1750.
I can find no entry for a James Gray and Margaret Gray being married, though not all marriages are registered in the Old Parish Register.
Her daughter Mary Gray always refers to herself as being born in Dundee in 1788.[1] There is no Mary Gray/ Grey listed as born abt 1788 in Dundee to a James Gray/ Grey and Margaret Gray/ Grey.
Her daughter Mary Johnston nee Gray’s death certificate lists her mother’s surname as Gray. [2]
