Earl Gray Services Held
Funeral services were held Thursday at 4 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill chapel for Earl Gray who died at his home on the Waelder Road at about 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. David Davidson, pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church and the Rev. Randel Everet, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating at t he service with burial following in the Woodmen Cemetery.
Mr. Gray was born in Fayette County on September 11, 1905, the son of J.A. and Stella Rich Gray, native Texans. He had been a member of the Eastside Baptist Church for 24 years and was married November 27, 1932, to Eva Low. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the world Lodge. Until his retirement , he had owned and operated a service station on East Avenue near his home.
Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Linda) Grauke, Gonzales; two grandchildren, Donald Wayne and Rynda Gayle Grauke, Gonzales; one sister, Mrs. J.H. (Jimmie) DuBose of Thompsonville; and one brother, O.E. Gray of Flatonia.
