Donald N. Gray was the son of Nathan Taylor Gray, grandson of George Grant Gray who crossed the plains on the Oregon Trail in 1853 at age 14. George Grant Gray was the son of Robert Doke Gray, one of the ministers on the train. Robert Doke Gray was married in Tennessee to Agnes Chenoweth (1808-1888)[1]
