Biography

Sallie was born in 1885. She was the daughter of Modena McCorkle and William Gray. Sallie Estella "Stella" Gray was born on September 3, 1885, in Farmersville, Texas, her father, William, was 41, and her mother, Modena, was 40. She married James Thomas Hopper on January 2, 1901, in Jack, Texas. They had four children during their marriage. She died on June 23, 1969, in Tolar, Texas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Jacksboro, Texas.
