Biography

Elizabeth Caroline Green was born abt. 1875 in Indiana of William Green and Lydia Culver [1]

She married Martin G. Culver abt 1893 in Indiana. In 1900 the family with 2 sons is in Jay Co., Indiana (Martin G Culver 34, b. Indiana; Caroline E Culver (Wife) 25 Indiana; James L Culver Son 5 Indiana: Albert R Culver Son 3 Indiana). [2]

She and Martin divorced aft 1910. (Marin was not in the household in 1910 census but Caroline was listed as still married with 4 more children than in 1900. (Caroline Culver Head 35 Indiana; James L Culver Son 14 Indiana; Albert R Culver Son 13 Indiana; Lewis A Culver Son 9 Indiana; Stella R Culver Daughter 8 Indiana; Blanche Culver Daughter 5 Indiana; Goldie C Culver Daughter2 Indiana) [3]

Caroline Green of parents Wm Green and mother Lucy Culver married again to Eli Turner on 16 in 1914 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan. [4]

The family is In Kalamazoo, Michigan in the 1920 Census (Eli Turner Head 35 Indiana; Caroline E Turner Wife 44 Indiana; Raymond L Turner Son 5 Indiana; Nellie Turner Daughter 21 Indiana; Russell A Culver Stepson 21 Indiana; Blanch Culver Stepdaughter 15 Indiana; Goldie C Culver Stepdaughter 11 Indiana). By 1930 Eli has died [6] and Caroline as "widow" is back in Jay Indiana, with her son Raymond Culver listed as head of house. [7]

In 1940 she with some of her children and a grandchild are still in Jay Indiana (Carolyn E Turner 56, H Russell Calver 42. Raymond L Turner 46. Nellie F Turner 21, William E Timmons 12 (grandson) [8]

"Elizabeth "C" " died after the census in 1940 in Dunkirk, Jay, Indiana. Her memorial gives 1873 as her birth and 1940 as her death; the image can not be enlarged enough to verify dates [9]

Dick, please add your source for first name Elizabeth and remember, as Dodie wrote on your page, do not make changes that you do not list a source for.

Also be precise in your description of your change. On Caroline you said "source and Bio"--don't use bio unless you are referring to the narrative bio (I just added that). Thanks for remembering everything you should do and not do.
