When Anselm Green was born about 1801, in Rutherford, North Carolina, his father, Shadrack, was 42 and his mother, Mary, was 32. He married Elizabeth Philbeck on February 11, 1822, in his hometown.[1][2] He died after 1860, probably in Illinois.[3]
