By 1851, Frederick Green (19, a petrifactioner) was living with an uncle, John Green (36, a police constable) and aunt, Elizabeth (37) and their four children, at 1 Mundy Street, St Alkmund, Derby, Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom.

Frederick Green (29, single) was married to widow, Sarah Grey (b abt. 1823), the daughter of Benjamin Strong, on 05 Jul 1859 at St Alkmund's Church, Derby, Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom.[5]
In 1861, Frederick Green (30, a petrifactioner, worker in alabaster) was living at 41 Mundy Street, St Alkmunds, Derby, with his wife Sarah, (age 37, a petrifactioner wife), daughters Eliza (7), Charlotte (5) and Harriet (1), married daughter Mary Fray (18) and son-in-law Benjamin Fray (21), who were both silk workers. At nearby 42 Mundy Street were fellow petrifactioners/spar workers, John Storer and his son Henry. [6]
In 1871, Frederick Green (Head, Male, 41, a petrifactioner born in Derby, Derbyshire), Sarah Green (Wife, Female, 48, born in Derby, Derbyshire), Eliza Green (daughter, 17, born in Derby, Derbyshire), Charlotte Green (daughter, 15, born in Derby, Derbyshire) and Martha H Green (daughter, 11, born in Derby, Derbyshire) were living in Derby St Alkmund, Derby, Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom.[7]
