Biography

Eliza was born in Ipswich, Suffolk in 1846, the daughter of William Green and Susannah Allen.^[1][2][3] She was baptised in the parish of St Helen's, Ipswich on 7 February 1847.^[4]

She married Robert Mullett, a Licenced Victualler, in Ipswich in 1870.^[5]

At the time of the 1891 Census, Eliza and Robert were at the White Horse Inn, Albion Street, Ipswich, where Robert was the landlord. Eliza's neice, Bertha Mensing was with them, her mother, Eliza's sister, having died in 1879.^[6]

Robert and Eliza were still at Albion Street in 1901. Robert was now a River Boatman.^[7]

In 1911 they were at the Lifeboat Inn, Wherstead Road, Ipswich, where Robert was the landlord. Although now married, Bertha was again with Eliza and Robert in 1911, now with her daughter, Violet Mignon Bird (1907-). ^[8]

Eliza passed away in Ipswich in 1915, at the age of 68 years.^[9]
