Evidently Thomas B. Green served under his father, General Martin E. Green and was at Vicksburg when his father was killed.

His son (General Green's), Capt. Thomas B. Green, was exchanged after the surrender of Vicksburg, 4 Jul 1863. He was killed in the Battle of Franklin, Tenn.
