Death Notice: "In Fort Covington, June 10, Mr. Wallace Green, in the 72nd year of his age."^[1]

Research Note

There are two records of a birth of Elias Green, son of Asa Green and Adna ____ or Ascha Sanderson in Woodstock, VT or Bridgewater, VT on 27 Aug 1787. They both have the same date, same father but different names for the mother and different towns, but Bridgewater is just outside the present city limits of Woodstock. And Elias is not Wallace. However, given that these records are later transcriptions (post 1857) of much older early records, it is possible that Wallace was mistranscribed as Elias.^[2]
