Douglas was born about 1899. He was the son of Alfred Green and Charlotte Bass.
He lived with his parents and siblings in Vashon Island and Tacoma, Washington. His mother died in 1909.
He married Agnes Marie (surname unknown).
He was an officer in United States Navy (at the age of about 20 he became middleweight boxing champion of the Pacific Fleet):

Sadly he died in 1934 at the age of 37. Cause of death: Thrombosis Left Coronary Artery[2] He died on board the USS Medusa near Norfolk, Virginia.
