William was born in 1790. William Green served in the Georgia Militia in the War of 1812, where he fought against the Creek Indians at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama. He was discharged from service at Ft. Hawkins in present-day Macon, Georgia. He married [1]Elizabeth Harper. He passed away in 1897[2]

After her death divided between my children and grand children namely: Lucinda Oglesby; William J. Green; Palestine Green; and James M. Green, one tenth share.
