William was born in 1790. William Green served in the Georgia Militia in the War of 1812, where he fought against the Creek Indians at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama. He was discharged from service at Ft. Hawkins in present-day Macon, Georgia. He married [1]Elizabeth Harper. He passed away in 1897[2]

Balance of estate to my children namely: John J. Green, George J. Green, Samuel L. Green; Henry Green; Margaret Bryans; Mary A. Copeland; Elizabeth Bryans; Cathanne Kelly and Lucinda Fargason.
