Birth: Alonzo Bolling Green was born on 01 March 1873 in Barbour County, Alabama. Secondary sources and trees elsewhere rendered his middle name as Bolling, Bolyn, or Borland. He signed his World War I Draft Registration Card, "Alonzo Bolling Green."[1] He was the son of Thomas Bolyn/Bolling Green and Mary Ann Harrell.[2]

Marriage: He was married to Ida Robert Hildreth on 05 May 1894 in Coffee County, Alabama. J. M. Sollie, minister, performed the ceremony.[4][5]
After their marriage they lived in the Red Level area of Covington County, Alabama as evidenced by the 1900 United States Census. Ida had given birth to four children, three of whom were still living. The living children listed with them were Olive, Beatrice, and Margie. Alonzo was a farmer.

About 1902-1903 the Green family relocated to Walton County, Florida. This is where they were enumerated when the 1910 United States Census was taken. The farm and house they were renting was located on Florala & Laurel H Road. A. B. Green and his wife Berta were then parents of six living children--Ollie, Beatrice, May, Lillian, Clyde, and Loyd. One more child had died--the record says that Berta had given birth to eight children, six of whom were living.

At some point, it appears the family moved back to Alabama and settled in Florala, Covington County, Alabama. Alonzo Bolling Green completed a World War I draft registration which gave that as his address and his occupation as "Taxie." Alonzo Bolling Green owned his own taxi service.[1]
Death: Alonzo Bolling Green died on 24 June 1919 in Walton County, Florida as a result of being shot twice by one of two men who hired his taxi then robbed him of his money and his cab during the journey.[8] He was buried in Florala, Covington County, Alabama but the cemetery was not specified in the source.[2]
