Information from the Genealogical Society of Queensland Inc in a letter date 1987 says:
Ellen Green, 16, house servant of Abbey Waterford d/o John {Margaret, both dead, RC, reads, arrived in Sydney on the "Maria" on 29 Jun 1850 among a lot of orphan girls.
List of immigrants per ship "Maria", states: No relations in the colony, poor bodily state of health, strength and probable usefulness, no complaints respecting treatment on ship.
Death certificate: 4109/284 10 Apr 1907 of Ellen Osborne, old age pensioner, female, 76 years,
Cause of death: Influenza, exhaustion, refused food,
Certified by F M Purchas, registered last seen on 7th April, 1907.
Informant was the son Henry Matthew, of Hobbys Yards,
born in Ireland,
parents, Henry (looks like Osborne which is incorrect) and Margaret,
married at Neville, NSW, to Henry Osborne,
Children: Mary A, 54, William 52, John 51, Ellen 45, Henry 41, Elizabeth 40, Thomas 35 and Margaret 32 living, 2 males deceased. difficulty in reading so may not be completely correct. Registered at Blayney.
In Book published by Cowra Family History Group Inc. 1997: Neville and District Cemeteries: Ellen Osborne, died 1901 April 10, Hobbys Yards 75 yrs, parents Henry Osborne (incorrect) and Margaret Greenwood, spouse, Henry Osborne buried Hobbys Yards St Peters C/E
