Biography

Agnes (Greenaway) Rodger was born in Ontario, Canada.

Agnes Stanners Greenaway was born in Ontario on 25 June 1890 and was the second daughter of James Greenaway and Mary Ramage.^[1]

As an infant, Agnes was brought back to Scotland by her parents and they settled in Falkirk where her siblings were born. On the 1891 census, Agnes is living on Main St, Stirlingshire, with her parents.^[2] On the 1901 census, Agnes is living at 34 Comely Park, Falkirk, with her parents and two sisters. Two brothers, Robert and James, born in 1893 and 1899 respectively, died in childhood.^[3]

The family returned to Canada before the outbreak of the First World War where Agnes married Andrew Rodger on 27 June 1914.^[4] On the 1921 census, Agnes and Andrew are living at 456 Charlton Ave W, Ontario, and appear to have had no children. Agnes is also listed as having been born in Scotland which is incorrect.^[5]
