- Note N4Was sports editor of the Sacramento Bee. Later worked for Spaulding Co. in the L.A. area (where he met his wife). Was tennis editor of the San Francisco Chronicle. Played Bill Tilden but never beat him. Was an American Legion champion. Taught Helen Wills Moody to play tennis, and won California mixed doubles with her. Was American Legion tennis champion. Was Interclub Tennis Champion in 1923. Won 1921 and 1923 tournaments at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, but couldn't join because he was Jewish.
- From his obituary: Lived in Marin County for 49 years. Lived in San Anselmo, and San Rafael. His last address before becoming ill was Woodland Ave. in San Rafael. "He was a manufacturer's representative for a games company and sold his products to school systems and recreation departments. He was active in promoting recreation programs for the handicapped through the Easter Seal Society. Greenberg was a member of American Legion Post No. 179."
