John Greene was born on 6 June 1651 in Warwick, Rhode Island,[1] son of John Greene (before 1620–1708) and Anne Almy (before 1627–1709).
A previous version of this profile included a middle name "Robert." Middle names were not in common use in this era; also the source below simply calls him "John." If there is a reliable source for the use of a middle name, please provide it.
