Mrs. Clifford Sifton, 65, wife of a Canadian publisher and TV executive, died Saturday at her Lawrence Ave E home.
Funeral will be in the Lawrence Park Community Church at 2pm today with internment at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
Mrs. Sifton, the former Doris Greene of Toronto, was prominent in Red Cross work during both wars.
She was one of the Canadian Red Cross' first woman members in WWI. During WWII she took care of the first 16 blinded veteranswho returned to Toronto. She was also a member of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Toward the end of the war, she was made assistant national commander.
Her husband owns two western Canadian newspapers - The Regina Leader-Post and the Saskatoon Star-Pheonix - has interests in CKCK Regina, CKRC Winnipeg and CKOC Hamilton, and two TV stations - CHCH Hamilton and CKCK-TV, Regina.
Mrs. Sifton was also an active member of the Toronto Skating Club.
