(Feb 1950). PERSONAL. COUNTING the days and hours till the end of April is fair-haired Ruth Clemente, who, until her recent wedding in London, was well-known Brisbane lass, Ruth Greene. Reason for the frantic calendar ticking is that Ruth's husband, Dr. John Clemente, of Bari, Southern Italy, is due to arrive in Melbourne on the Caboto about that time. Ruth's wedding came as a complete surprise to her friends—she was on an overseas holiday tour and met Dr. Clemente while staying at Oxford. They were married quietly last November, and spent their honeymoon hiking in the hills in Dorset. When I saw Ruth in town this week she was carrying an unusual corded ribbon handbag, a souvenir of her visit to Rome. 'I am hoping to fly down to Sydney to meet John when the ship arrives, and then we plan to make our home in Brisbane,' Ruth told me.
