Please review the pre-1700 profiles (and any others) that you have created without sources, and add the sources as required (see the note from Erin, below.) For example: Peter Greene (abt.1681-abt.1745) and Lewis Greene (abt.1645-abt.1725). Thanks, Deb
Hello Kori,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi, Kori, and welcome back to WikiTree!

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hi Kori,

I see that you have had your DNA tested. Congratulations! https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:How_to_Get_Started_with_DNA#After_Receiving_Your_Test_Results Getting Started with DNA] will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

To be able to add profiles, you will need to upgrade (there is no cost). You can do this from your Upgrade page. Just answer the five questions, e.g. who you want to communicate with, if others can see your family tree, what surnames, locations, or topics interest you, etc, and click on the green box that says "Upgrade.” Upgrading just means you will become a Family Member with the ability to work on your immediate ancestors to help us achieve our goal of joining all individual family trees into one global family tree.

I hope this helps! If you have any problems, let me know.

Take care,

Claire ~ WikiTree Greeter
