Birth

Joseph Howe Greene was born on September 27, 1852 in Medford, Nova Scotia, son of Reuben Greene (abt. 1817–1882) and Sarah Rockwell (abt. 1820–aft. 1854).[2]

Sibling

Joseph had a brother, Leander Green (abt. 1854 – November 24, 1877).

Marriage

Joseph (26) married Amelia Agusta Lyons (1878) (born in Lower Pereau, Nova Scotia; daughter of Guy Newcombe Lyons (1831–1895) and Angelina (Foote) Lyons (1841–1919)) on February 25, 1879 in Lower Pereaux, Kings, Nova Scotia.[3] Their son was Joseph Thomas Greene (July 04, 1897 – unknown).

Occupation

Joseph was a sea captain. He appears at the top of a crew list on a Dennis, Mass., based schooner named the Clarence H. Venner in 1905. [4]

Death

Joseph died on May 18, 1936 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, aged 83.
