Biography

Margaret Potter was born in about 1808 in Moorton, Cheshire.

Margaret married James Greenhalgh on 26 Sep 1831 at St Mary the Virgin Church in Deane, Lancashire. Both were of the local parish (Deane); James was a groom, Margaret a spinster. The witnesses were Abrm Boardman, James Black and Mary Nixon.

Their daughter Mary was born in about 1832 in Lancashire.

Their son John was born in about 1834 in Middleton, Lancashire.

Their daughter Elizabeth was born in 1838 in West Derby, Lancashire.^[1] She was christened on 5 Aug 1838 at St John the Evangelist Church in Knotty Ash, Liverpool. Her father's occupation was given as "butler at Dovecot", and the family's address as West Derby.^[2]

Their son William James was born in 1841 in West Derby.^[3]

Their daughter Margaret Ann was born in about 1843 in West Derby.^[4]

Their son William James was born in about 1846 in West Derby.^[5]

Their daughter Martha Jane was born in 1850 in West Derby.^[6]
