While in England, he married Nancy Aitchison in the 3rd quarter of 1918, and brought her to Australia.[4]
Alfred drowned on Dec. 17, 1920 and was buried at St Matthew's Catholic Cemetery in Windsor, Hawkesbury City, New South Wales.
