He married widow Mary Ann (Wood) Percy on May 11, 1882 at Boat Harbour (Bellingen) New South Wales.[3] To this marriage she brought children Herbert John Percy,
John Phillip Percy, Ernest Percy, Florance Theodore "Bob" Percy, Ernest John Percy/Persse,and Montague (Morris or Jack) Percy .
Together they became the parents of Clara Adelaide (Greentree) Wunderlich, Alfred Reuben Greentree, and George Henry Greentree.
