Biography

George Washingon Greenwell was born on April 17, 1863 in Schuyler County, Illinois to Frances Marion and Mary (Reno) Greenwell. He married Elsie Ann Wright on September 8, 1903 in Moab, Utah. They were the parents of Mary Adeline (born 1904), Vivian (1906-1936), George (born 1908), Alice Rose (1910-1913), and Oliver Perry (1912-1913). They were divorced on July 1, 1921, in Delta County, Colorado. He married Samantha Dean on July 11, 1921 in Delta, Colorado. George died on March 19, 1935, at the age of 71. and is buried in Delta Cemetery in Delta, Colorado.
