Irene Louise Greer was born on March 15, 1936 in Mauckport, Harrison, Indiana, United States, daughter of Forest Obert Greer (1912–1965) and Mildred Louise Sonner (1914–1963).[1]

In 1940, Irene (4), was a single daughter, in the household of Forest Greer (28) in Heth Township, Harrison, Indiana, United States. [2]

In 1950, Irene L (14), was a single daughter, Farm Chores, in the household of Forrest O Greer (38) in Heth Township, Harrison, Indiana, United States. [3]

Irene (18) married Floyd Shumaker in Harrison, Indiana, United States on May 15, 1954.[3]

Irene (27) married Granville Edward Melton (29) (born on March 29, 1934 in New Salisbury, Harrison) in 1964 in Harrison County, Indiana. Their son was Ronald W Melton (1965–2021).

Irene died on September 16, 1999 in Corydon, Harrison, aged 63. She was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana.[4] [1] [5]
