Biography

John was a Tinmith like his father and some of his siblings also had the same profession. On his marriage record it lists John Greer as his father and that his occupation was a Tin Plate Craftsman.

Sometime between 1861 and 1881, John and Louise moved to Birmingham and to Liverpool, where John's parents lived. John's mother Elizabeth was originally from Liverpool. John and Louisa's children Sophia, Joseph, Walter and Theodore were born in Birmingham, their daughter Ada was born in Liverpool and their son Charles was born in London.

In 1894 John remarried after Louisa died, to Sophia Jane Calcutt.
