In 1870 William is found with his parents and siblings in Floyd County, Kentucky.[1]
In 1880, William is living with his parents and siblings. [2] 
Sometime before 1900, William moved with other members of his family to Arkansas. He can be found in 1900 living with his wife, Bettie, three children (Edward, Floy and Virginia) and a boarder who did farm labor in the same neighborhood as his father and eldest brother.[3]
