Early Life

David was born in 1949. He was the son of Ernest Greer and Thetis Peterson. He graduated from Bay County High School in 1967. He worked on a survey crew in the local area. In 1969, he was drafted by the Army. He served 2 years in Germany, near the Czech border.

Family Life

After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1971, David attended the local Junior College. He then joined the Boilermaker's Union and worked in that craft until he retired. In 1974, David married Sandra "Soni" Bailey.^[1] He and Soni had two children. David first lived in Bay County, Florida when he and Soni were first married but soon they bought a house in Vernon, Florida. That remained his home for the rest of his life. He passed away in 2019.
