Biography

Margaret was born about 1833. She passed away about 1926: There is a Margaret Wright DOD 29 Aug 1920 Upshur Co Index and a Maggie Wright DOD 19 July 1913 Upshur Co Index. I will need to get a death certificate to determine is any parental information is available.

Some people have listed her as a child of Edmond and Permelia Greer because she and Thomas were living next door in 1860. I've not seen any proof other than living next door. Edmond was married in 1827. In 1840, he had a son and himself, plus 4 girls and his wife. 2 females under 5 and 1 5-10 years, 1 10-15 Margaret was born about 1833., so Margaret could indeed be the daughter of Edmond. That's the only close to proof I have other than living next door. The rest is process of elimination. Young Greer no young girls. If he did that would have meant his sons were marrying nieces. We can rule that out. That leaves Thomas who did have a daughter aged 5-10 in the 1840 census, but online sources account for that girl. That leaves Joseph Greer, but I haven't found him yet. It seems more likely she belongs to Edmond. I am adding him as her father until there is proof that he isn't her father.

1900 Census Cass County Texas she is shown as having given birth 14 times with 5 still living.:

1910 US Census Cass County listed in HH of John J. Benson as Mary W. Wright mother in law..name very off, but everything else matches and it's the HH of her daughter's second husband.
