Benjamin was born in 1793 in Rockbridge, Virginia. He was a cobbler and married Joanna Palmer in Monroe County, Virginia (present day West Virginia) on December 21, 1818. They migrated to the Lindell community of Washington County, Virginia in the mid-1850's with their son Phillip and his wife Amanda Palmer.
Benjamin Gregory died in 1857 in Washington County, Virginia.
