Biography
John Marion Gregory was killed in a Freight Wagon accident. He regularly drove a team from Austin to Dallas to make pick-up and delivery. The family story says that his team of horses spooked and John was thrown from the wagon resulting in his death.

John was basically raised in Alabama (1860 Calhoun Co., 1870 Lawrence Co.) His parents moved to Texas in the early 1870's (1880 McLennan Co. census).
