Biography

Kathryn Gregory was born 18 Jan 1861 in Michigan, United States.^[1]

She was the wife of Col. Perry Milo Hoisington ^[2] and mother of Col. Gregory Hoisington and three other children.

Kathryn (Gregory) Hoisington passed away 29 Aug 1938 in Newton, Kansas. United States.^[3]

Obituary

Mrs. Hoisington was born at Howell, Mich., on January 18, 1861 as Katherine Barber Gregory, the daughter of Edward B. Gregory and Sarah Lucinda Ward. In 1885 she was married to the late Col. Perry Milo Hoisington, and soon afterwards they settled in Kansas, making their home in Newton. Col. Hoisington passed away on March 21, 1933, and was mourned by the entire state, being prominent in many circles.

Mrs. Hoisington was an active member of the Presbyterian church here, and was a member for many years of the Ladies Reading Circle and of the Colonial Dames.

Besides her three daughters, (Mrs. Hart, Mrs. R. A. Clymer of El Dorado, and Miss Margaret Hoisington), she leaves one son, Lieut. Col. Gregory Hoisington of Baltimore, Md.^[4]
