Biography

John was born in 1761. He passed away in 1842.[1]

John, wife named Jerusha (Pension W1419) served in the Connecticut line. He was born 18 Mar 1761 at Danbury (that later became Brookfield), Connecticut. He applied 26 Jul 1832 at Danbury and he m. there Jerusha Wildman 16 Jun 1830. He died 7 Nov 1841 of 1842 (both dates shown) at Plattsburg, New York at the home of Mrs. John S. Grosset, where he had moved in May preceding. His widow applied 21 Mar 1853 at Danbury, age 87. She died 16 Oct 1853.[2]

In 1832 his brother Stephen age 60 lived in Brookfiled, Connecticut. A W. D Gregory is mentioned in the claim, and in 1853 an Ira Wildman of Danbury was mentioned without relationship to widow.
