Mary "Polly" Gregory was born in 1794 in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut, the daughter of John Gregory (1761–1842) and Ruth St. John (1762-1805). John Gregory married first Keziah Curtis (1765–1787) in Danbury but she died before Polly's birth in 1794.
Polly married John Savage Crossett (1790-1846) on 12 Sep 1812 in Peru, Clinton County, New York. Their children were:
Jane Maria (Crossett) Graves (1813/5–1892) born Plattsburgh, New York, died Ottokee, Fulton, Ohio
Lydia Ann (Crossett) Hall (1815/7–1889), born New York, died Colfax, Whitman, Washington
John Gregory Crossett (1818–1864)
Herman Garlick Crossett (1821–1852)

Edward Savage Crossett (1828–1910) born Plattsburgh, New York
Mary Jerusha (Crossett) Graves (1831– )
Oliver Stephens Crossett (1835–1868)
Polly passed away at age 83 in 1878 at the home of her daughter, Jane M. (Crossett) Graves and was buried at Ottokee Cemetery, Fulton County, Ohio.
Notes
Polly's mother must have been Ruth (St. John) Gregory, of Sharon, Connecticut who was John Gregory's second wife and they married on 6 Jul 1788. Polly's father married first Keziah Curtis (1765-1787), so Keziah died before Polly was born in 1794. See "The St. John Genealogy; Descendants of Mathias St. John" below. Ruth Gregory died 13 Jul 1805 and was buried at the Old North Main Street Cemetery, Danbury, Connecticut, and John Gregory died 14 Mar 1815 and was buried at the Old North Main Street Cemetery, Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
However there is also a marriage record in Danbury, CT of John Gregory marrying Rachel Benedict.
