Biography

Margery was born in November 1825 ^[1]. There is another record for Nov 5, 1826 for a baptism which says "Sunday, having been privately baptised in Sancred" so am making the assumption [Dyer-10748], as both father's names are the same, that this is the same person ^[2].

Margery married George Toman on March 20, 1847. He was 24 and she was 21. The groom lived at Chiverton and the bride at Lesbaw. Her father was shown as Thomas Grenfell, a farmer and his father's name was John Toman, also a farmer. The witnesses were: Witness Fn1 John Toman and Witness Fn2 James Bennett^[3]

In 1851 they were living in Sacreed, Cornwall, England with her husband, George Toman & her mother, Margery and her three little children, John, Esther and Thomas Grenfell Toman ^[4]

She probably was the Margery who died in the last quarter of 1912 in Penzance, Cornwall, England, aged 85 ^[5]
