Biography
Thomas Marshall Grice emigrated to New Zealand on the ship Hanover; with the first of the Albert Land pioneers intending to establish a Non-Conformist Colony at Port Albert, on the Kaipara Harbour, where the settlers had been allotted forty acres for each adult. The Hanover left the East India Docks, London on May 29th, arriving in Waitemata Harbour, Auckland, on September 17th 1862. [1]
GRICE - On August 16. at Maungaturoto, Thomas Marshall, beloved husband of M. R. Grice; aged 87 years. The funeral will leave his late residence for Maungaturoto Cemetery to-morrow (Tuesday) at 1.30 p.m.
