Samuel Gridley (20 Dec 1724 Farmington, Hartford, Connecticut[1] - 25 DEC 1804 Salisbury, Litchfield, Connecticut) was the son of Samuel Gridley and Abigail Hough.
Samuel Gridley is mentioned in his grandfather Jonathan Hough's will in 1731.
On 3 Oct 1753, Samuel married Deborah Jones in New Haven, CT

Isaac Gridley (7 Jul 1754 Farmington, Hartford, Connecticut[2] - 18 Nov 1836 Cromwell, Connecticut) on 26 Sep 1784 married Elizabeth Smith (10 Jan 1764 - 27 Aug 1851) in Middletown, Connecticut. Children of Isaac and Elizabeth: Betsey (1785-), Timothy Jones (1788-1852), Fanny (1790-1867), Marian (1793-), Patty (1799-), Louisa Lydia (1803-)
He married second a widow, Catherine Thomson on 24 February 1767 in Farmington. On 18 August 1778, Elizabeth petitioned the Hartford Court for a divorce from Samuel on the grounds of disertion.[4]
