John Griffith II was born about 1678 or 1680.
He married Mary Hardy in 1698.[citation needed]
Children, as listed in his will:
He died in about March 1761, probably not long after he wrote his will. His wife is not named in his will, so it's likely that she died before him.
Will of John Griffin 1761 (transcribed by ancestry.com user daneyd):

Proved by the oath of subscribers and Hardy Griffin qualified as executor. Will Book A, page 74. Abstracted 4-13-06, NCA film C.037.80001, CTC.
John Griffin III and Sarah Hart both died in Edgecomb County. Sarah was born there, John III in Chowan, which is east of Edgecomb, on Albemarle Sound.
John Griffith II (note change from Griffin) and his wife Mary Hardy also died in Edgecomb Co. He was born in Chowan, like John II, and she in Isle of Wight, VA, which lies north of Chowan NC.
Then going back to John Griffith I, we find that he was probably born in Isle of Wight, VA and he died in Chowan, NC.
Beyond that, we have postulated John I's father to be Owen Griffith, who died in Isle of Wight, VA, ad who may have been born there, or else in Wales.
