Bebe Daniels' Mother Dies

London, Feb. 20 (AP)--Mrs. Phyllis Daniels, mother of the former American stage, screen and radio star Bebe Daniels, died in London today. She was 73.

Mrs. Daniels was born in Bogota, Colombia, where her father was an American consul named Griffin. She was a well-known stage actress in her day and introduced Bebe to the footlights by carrying her on stage when she was 10 weeks old.

Mrs. Daniels lived in Dallas and Santa Monica, Calf., but had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law Ben Lyon, former film star, who have lived in London many years as popular entertainment starts.

Ben Lyon's secretary said Mrs. Daniels had influenza that developed into fatal pneumonia. She had been in ill-health for some time. It was believed recent fogs caused her health to deteriorate.
