Donald Loyd Griffin was born on January 30, 1933 in Shelby Township, Jefferson, Indiana, United States. His parents were Gerald William Griffin (1909 - 1971) and Wauneta Opal (Jackson) Griffin (1911 - 1991).[1],[2]

Don served on active duty in the Air Force of the United States from 8 April 1952 to 25 February 1953.[3]

Don married Alice Marie Baker (1935 - living) on June 26, 1955 in Greensburg, Decatur, Indiana.[4],[5],[6]

Their only child was their son Marc Lyn Griffin J.D. (1956 - living).

In 1974, he was appointed a Special Constable in White River Township, Johnson County, Indiana.

On 7 November 1978, he was elected a member of the township advisory board in White River Township, Johnson County, Indiana.[7]He was re-elected on 8 November 1982.[8]

Don died on November 6, 2002 in Saint Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, Marion, Indiana aged 69.[9],[10] He was buried in South Park Cemetery, Greensburg, Indiana.[11]

DNA test taker Marc Griffin is the son of Donald Griffin, the son of Gerald Griffin, the 6x great grandson of the common ancestor William Griffin.[12]
