John Griffin was born 11 Apr 1898, and baptized 12 Apr 1898 in Caherciveen, child of Martin [Griffin] and Mary Curran of Gurtnagree. Sponsored by: Michael Coffey, Mary Casey.[1]
John son of Martin Griffin, farmer, of Gortnagree, and Mary Griffin formerly Curran, was born 11 Aug 1898 at Gortnagree. The birth was registered by Mary Griffin, mother, of Gortnagree, on 05 Nov 1898.[2]
John Griffin appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 18 in Gortnagree, Killinane, Kerry, age 3, born Co Kerry, occupation not given, as son to Martin Griffin.[3]
John Griffin appeared in the 1911 census of Ireland at House 24 in Gortnagree, Killinane, Kerry, age 14, born Co Kerry, occupation farmer's son, as son to Martin Griffin.[4]
On 10 Nov 1923 at Caherciveen in the Registrar's District of Caher and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of John Griffin, full age, a bachelor and farmer of Gortnagree, son of Martin Griffin, farmer, and Kathleen Coffey, full age, a spinster and -- of Gortnagree, daughter of Michael Coffey, farmer, witnessed by Pat J O’Shea, Mary Elizabeth Shanahan[5]
John Griffin died 06 Mar 1946 at Lamateara, age 46, married, occupation: farmer. The death was registered by Helen Griffin, daughter of deceased, present at death, of Lainateara, on 17 Apr 1946.[6]
