Biography
Thomas Griffin was born 17 Oct 1793 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut. He was the son of Thomas Griffin and Polly Brown.
Thomas passed away 26 Oct 1872 in Otselic, Chenango County, New York.

Laurana, b. June, 1817; m. a farmer at Freeborn, Minn.
Cyntha, b. 1818; d. circ. nineteen years old.

Children w/second wife was Sally Olin; m. about 1833.
Sarah Ann, b. 26 Jul1834; m. William Finks, of Sherborne, N. Y.; farmer, living at Breckenridge, Mo. Have a dau. m.,who has three children there.
Mary Ann, b. 29 Jul 1835; m. Lee Caulkins of Smyrna, N. Y.; she d. 7 Feb 1864, leaving one child, that d. young.
Thomas H., b. 5 Nov 1836; m. Fanny E. Brown, dau. of James Brown, of Otselic. They have three sons and one dau. m., and all living at Clinton Falls, Minn.
Arsenal H., b. 14 Feb 1838; killed at Gettysburg in 1863; a soldier in New York Heavy Artillery.
Nathan A., b., Otselic, Nov. 5, 1839.
William S., b. Sept. 6, 1841; d. in the army at Yorktown, Va.; soldier in the 6ist Regt. of N. Y. Vol.; he was m.; had two children d. in infancy; the mother d. in 1842, as reported by Devere Griffin.
His third wife, Mrs. Guthrie, nee Phebe Martha Tripp, b., Rhode Island, 25 Jan 1817; dau. of Job and Amy Wilcox Tripp. By Devere's report, they had nine children; this was her second m. Her third m. was to Jad Reynolds.
