Biography

Birth and Parents

Richard Griffin was the son and main heir of Sir Thomas Griffin and Elizabeth Latimer.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Richard's date of birth is unknown: the 1360 date given is an estimate.

Lands

Richard held lands at Weston Favell and Braybrooke in Northamptonshire. Braybrooke had been brought into the Griffin family by his father's marriage, and became the main seat of the family.[7]

Marriage and Children

Richard Griffin, Esq. married Anne Chamberlain, daughter of Sir Richard Chamberlaine[3][4][5][6] and Joane Reynes.[1][2] Their marriage date is uncertain. They had three children:

Death

Richard Griffin, Esq. died before 1411.[1][2][6]

I have begun working on this profile. Adding sources and improving biography layout.

Richardson uses Burke as a source for this profile but Burke omits a family member, compressing lineage in error compared to other sources so it was removed.
