The 1860 census posted in this bio is from Liberty, Liberty County, TX, which is is just east of Houston. This is the wrong Griffin family and wrong location. You need the 1860 census of Millville, Rusk County, TX. You will find the household of David Griffin. His daughter "M A" is who you are looking for. Scroll back 2 pages, and you will find Jesse and Ann Walling and their son "I C" aka Isom Chisum Walling who married "M A" aka Margaret/Mary A Griffin. [1]. You will find further evidence in the 1880 Census. Mary has passed and Isom Walling is living with David and Mary Griffin (now 75 and 70) and their 4 grandchildren from 3 of their kids--2 belonging to Isom and Margaret. [2]

David A. Griffin and family can be found in 1850 in Talladega, AL. [3]
