In 1861 he was three years old and living with his parents and five older siblings in Wellington, Erin, Ontario. In 1871 he was 13 and there were seven children at home. In 1881 he was 22, and the family had moved to Mersea, Essex. By 1891 he is married and living in Mersea with his wife Louisa and their two young sons. By 1901 they had four children at home, and the same four in 1911. In 1911 they had either moved or the enumeration districts changed, because they are listed in Rochester, Essex (very close to Mersea). In 1921 Alfred and Louise are living in the town of Leamington in Essex, on Marlboro street. Alfred is 63 and still lists his occupation as farmer.
He passed away in 1927.
