Biography
John was born about 1595. He is the son of William Griffin and Joan Kingsman.
John was most likely born after 1593 as he is not mentioned in the will of his grandfather, Robert Kingsman.
He was a beneficiary of his father's will in 1606 [1]:
- Item, I give to my son John the younger forty pounds
- Item, my will is that my son Richard shall pay unto his brother John the younger the fourth year after my decease ten pounds which is the fourth years rent of my said land
- Also I give more unto him my lease of the parish land in Avebury
