Biography

Benjamin was born in 1898. As a young man he worked at a shipyard in Savanah, Georgia. That's where he met his future bride. Their marriage record shows that Benjamen began using the name "Bennie" After they were married they moved to Jacksonville where they had 5 boys. Bennie worked as a mechanic at a cigar factory and later as a machinist at the railroad. He passed away in 1962.
